Welcome to the AAOMPT Student Local (ASL) Program!
We are sponsored by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Therapists Student Special Interest Group (sSIG). Your sSIG Leadership Team is excited that you are interested in further expanding the reach of orthopaedic manual therapy at your university. Each ASL group will work alongside an AAOMPT Fellow or University Faculty and Member-at-Large to establish a new source of excitement for orthopaedic manual therapy at your university. The purpose of each ASL Group is to increase awareness and implementation of manual therapy principles while promoting an active learning environment to foster independent clinical decision making. Through the implementation of Student Local Groups, the AAOMPT is assisting develop the future leaders of not only orthopaedic manual therapy, but the physical therapy profession as a whole.
